Introduction and consent
This policy explains how SalutApp collects, uses, stores and protects personal information and sensitive health-related information when you use the application, request a demo or contact us.
Data we collect
SalutApp collects information you provide directly and information that is technically necessary to operate, secure and improve the service.
This may include account information, family profile details, health events, appointments, attachments, support communications and security logs.
Health data
Health data that you choose to record—such as visits, vaccinations, illness notes, allergies, symptoms, or related attached documents—may be considered sensitive personal data under Article 5(c)(2) of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

SalutApp processes them solely to provide the family organisation and tracking features you use. In accordance with Article 6, processing has a defined purpose, is carried out in good faith and proportionately, and is limited to the data necessary. At the time of registration, the user gives explicit consent to the processing and retention of their data for this purpose during the provision of the service, in accordance with the applicable retention policy.

SalutApp incorporates data protection into the design of the service, limits access through authentication, and adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration, in accordance with Articles 7 and 8. Attachments are handled securely; images are reduced in size and their technical metadata is removed.

Purpose of processing
SalutApp processes data to operate the service, organize family health information, provide reminders, support demo environments, secure the application and respond to support requests.
Sharing and third parties
SalutApp does not sell personal information or sensitive health data and does not share family health content with advertising platforms.
Trusted providers may process limited data only when needed to operate or secure the service and under appropriate safeguards.
How SalutApp does not monetize health data
SalutApp does not use family health information for advertising, data sales, sponsored recommendations, commercial profiling, third-party analytics products or commercial AI training.
This commitment is part of the service design: the health space belongs to the user and their family, not to advertisers, data brokers, insurers or commercial platforms.
- No ads — Your health environment is not a place to advertise or sell products, care services, treatments or insurance coverage. SalutApp does not turn your activity into advertising.
- No sale or licensing of data — Insurers, data brokers, commercial databases and marketing companies may want health information to estimate risk, adjust premiums, segment campaigns or offer products. Your data remains yours.
- No sponsored recommendations — You choose your health center and your professional. SalutApp does not promote or endorse professionals, centers, medicines, insurers or healthcare services above others in exchange for compensation.
- No advertising profiling or retargeting — We do not use your data to create audiences, commercial profiles or tracking campaigns on other platforms.
- No commercial analytics products — We do not turn family data, even if aggregated or pseudonymized, into commercial reports, market research or intelligence products for third parties.
- No commercial AI training with your data — We do not use family health content, documents or attachments to train commercial models or recommendation systems for third parties.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while the account remains active and while it is needed to provide the service. Recoverable backups are available only for active accounts; before requesting deletion, the user must retrieve any copy they wish to keep.
The account-closing timestamp marks the end of the service contract. Within a maximum of 24 hours, SalutApp permanently and irreversibly deletes health data, family profiles, events, documents, attachments, backups and account-associated technical, security and support records. Once deletion is complete, the data cannot be recovered by either the user or SalutApp. The user receives a confirmation.
While the service is active, SalutApp retains only the technical, security and support records strictly needed to verify the operation of the service, resolve incidents, and improve the service and user experience. These account-associated records are deleted when the account is closed.
Billing data, payments, invoices and accounting records that Swiss law requires to be retained are kept only for the applicable statutory period. They do not include the account’s health content, documents or attachments.
For questions about invoices, payments, subscriptions or plans, contact [email protected].
Your rights
Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have the right to request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion when the data no longer needs to be retained, restriction of or objection to certain processing, receipt or transmission of data in the cases provided for, or withdrawal of consent where consent is the applicable basis for processing.
To protect the exercise of these rights, SalutApp makes information about data processing available in a clear way, protects account access through authentication and provides contact channels for privacy requests. Before acting on a request, we may ask for the information needed to verify the requester’s identity and prevent unauthorised access, changes or deletions.
Requests are assessed in accordance with applicable law and within the time limits it establishes. Where we cannot fully meet a request—for example because of legal retention duties, security or the protection of other people’s rights—we will explain the reason and, where appropriate, the available alternatives.
